VEGFEST 2015// 14/10/15 BY SOPHIE

When I was last in Brighton, I missed Vegfest by two days. I didn't really know what it was, only that I very much liked the idea of eating lots of vegan food and potentially meeting fellow vegan buddies.

This year, I grabbed a few tickets for the Sunday event in Earls Court London, and dragged my mum and aunt along with me [note to self; find some people that are as passionate and excited by food and veganism as I am because you can easily justify buying hundreds of vegan cookies].

Basically, I've never seen so many vegan cakes and cookies and chocolates and cheeses and hotdogs in my life. It was pretty damn grand.
We didn't mange to stay for lunch- it was honestly one of the busiest things I've ever been to (So. Many. People.) but I managed to get my hands on various vegan goodies that I then carefully carried home on the train [second note to self; bring large bags that are easy to carry because balancing boxes of cupcakes is really tricky and the icing smooshes everywhere.] before arranging them as best I could on a nice looking wooden board and snapping some photographs.

Along with these cookies from Ms Cupcake and the most amazing chai-spiced donut and lemony rose cupcake from Rubys of London (honestly one of the most delicious vegan things I've ever eaten), I bought a whole box full of Perkier bars, some vegan and gluten-free pizza bases, a block of apparently 'melty' vegan mozzarella and a cruelty-free mineral foundation from the lovely Topic skincare - the girls were so lovely and helpful and the foundation is gorgeous.

I'm definitely going to drag some people along to the next Vegfest because I'm in desperate need of more cookies. It was so lovely being surrounded by similar minded people- all about these human connections :)

Peace lovelies
